Hawaiian Airlines passengers will be able to weigh and tag their own luggage when departing from Honolulu International Airport. Passengers will be able to tag their luggage as well as print their boarding passes at the check-in kiosks in Hawaiian’s ticket lobby at the airport.
The airline claims to be the first US airline to introduce a self-tagging system. It also aims to introduce self-tagging at its check-in lobbies in neighboring island airports later this year.
Previously, passengers had to wait for a customer service agent to tag their luggage as part of the check-in procedure.
