Hawaiian Airlines plans to launch non-stop flights between Beijing and Honolulu from April 16, 2014. The airline will also discontinue its flights to Manila on July 31 this year.
The Beijing flights will use a 294-seat Airbus A330 aircraft and operate three times a week. These will be the only non-stop flights between Honolulu and the Chinese capital. Beijing will be the 10th international destination for Hawaiian Airlines.
The airline said that it was discontinuing the Manila flights as the route is not profitable due to low fares and high-fuel costs.
