Hawaiian Airlines has said that it will use Airbus A330 aircraft for its Honolulu-Auckland service that will commence on March 14, 2013. The airline had previously planned to use Boeing 767s for the route. The airline’s A330s have 30 more seats than its Boeing 767s. A senior airline official stated that the decision to use the larger aircraft was made in view of the strong advance bookings for its new thrice-weekly service.
