London’s Heathrow Airport appointed two of the UK’s most well-known food experts to help improve the dining experience at the country’s busiest airport.
The two foodies, John Torode and Gregg Wallace, have been give full access to all areas of the airport and its 73 restaurants and bars. Their task it to sample the food and drinks over the next 6 months and help improve the airport’s food offerings.
The experiences of the straight-talking foodie duo will also be used to prepare Heathrow’s first ever food guide, titled Food on the Fly, scheduled for launch in July 2013. The guide will offer passengers an overview of the airport’s extensive dining options.
Heathrow is home to a number of fine dining outlets including Caviar House and Prunier, Gordon Ramsay’s Plane Food, Oriel, rhubarb, YO! Sushi, Strada and Carluccio’s.
