Icelandair plans to operate flights to the Canadian cities of Edmonton and Vancouver from its Reykjavik hub in spring and summer of 2014, according to the airline’s international flight schedule for 2014.
Icelandair plans to launch twice weekly flights to Vancouver between May 13 and October 12 in 2014.
It will also operate four flights a week to Edmonton from March 26, 2014 through January 2015, with plans for extending the flights year-round in the future.
In addition to the two Canadian cities, the airline will also operate twice-weekly flights from Reykjavik to Geneva from May 24 to September 23, 2014.
In the US, Icelandair is beginning scheduled flights between Reykjavik and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) on October 28, 2013. The flights will operate four times a week – on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
To service the additional flights, Icelandair will add three Boeing 757 aircraft to its fleet in 2014.
