Icelandair plans to increase flight frequency between its Reykjavik hub and destinations in the United Kingdom, thereby expanding the connection options between North America and the UK via Reykjavik.
The airline is increasing its flight frequency between Reykjavik and London Gatwick from September 22 to five per week from two times per week at present. The flights will be increased to six per week in February 2014.
Icelandair will also add a fifth weekly flight between Glasgow and Reykjavik in April 2014.
Year-round flights to Toronto, with four flights per week, were launched in March 2013.
The extra capacity will allow the airline to offer more connection options between the UK and the 10 destinations served by the airline in North America.
