Many air travelers in the US find the security procedures adopted by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to be random and illogical.
This often results in frustration, anger and puzzlement among passengers. They tend to find it hard to mentally prepare themselves for what may happen. Additionally, the randomness causes delays and congestion at airports.
TSA’s aim behind multiple, random and redundant security checks is to increase the effectiveness of its security procedures. With what appears to be random and illogical checks it is tougher for would-be troublemakers to plan ahead.
No wonder that ordinary passengers find it hard to figure out the patterns behind TSA’s apparently unjustified procedures and policies. Most of us aren’t planning illegal activities to circumvent TSA screening.
