Planning to travel to Brazil from the Midwest? Delta Air Lines will be offering international airfare deals for non-stop flights to Sao Paulo, Brazil from its hub in Detroit with its new service beginning in late October 2010.
The non-stop flights reduce the flight time to Sao Paulo from an average of 16 hours to about 10 1/2 hours. These flights will be operated with Boeing 767-300ER aircraft featuring 35 seats in BusinessElite class and 181 seats in coach class. Good news for business travelers – in addition to the full-size pillow and quilted comforter currently provided, Delta is upgrading the aircraft to provide full flat bed seats for a good night’s sleep during the flight.
Non-stop flights from Detroit Metropolitan Airport will depart on Thursday and Sunday at 5:45 pm to arrive in Sao Paulo at 6:15 am the next day. The flights return to Detroit on Monday and Friday, departing at 10:15 pm and arriving at 7:20 am the next day.
Since Delta’s merger with Northwest Airlines last year, the airline has been expanding international service from its Detroit hub. International airfare deals are also available on Delta’s non-stop service to Hong Kong and Seoul which will begin this month.
