Japan Airlines (JAL) has unveiled photos of new seat designs for its flagship Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The new seats will be introduced first on Tokyo-London flights in January 2013, with availability on flights to New York’s JFK Airport following. The new seat design will appear on JAL’s 767-300ERs later next year.
The new seats feature increased privacy and 23-inch screens in first and business class. An interesting feature is the staggered 2-3-2 layout in the business class that provides direct and unobstructed aisle access for every passenger. The new seating also offers 38-inch pitch in premium economy and 34-inch pitch in economy.
