Japan Airlines (JAL) plans to install fully-flat business class seats in its two-class Boeing 767-300ER aircraft in addition to its four-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
The airline will install 24 new JAL SKY SUITE II seats in business class onboard its 767s. The seats can be reclined into fully flat beds and are arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration, allowing direct aisle access from each seat. Other features include a 15.4-inch touch-panel TV screen and power/USB outlets at each seat.
JAL is also upgrading economy class seats on all Boeing 767s with its JAL SKY WIDER economy class seats. The seats will offer increased seat-pitch and nearly four inches more legroom than the current seats. Each seat will also have a USB charging port and a power outlet.
The first upgraded Boeing 767-300ERs will be introduced on flights between Tokyo Narita and Vancouver from December 2013.
