Japan Airlines (JAL) will restart its daily Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights between Tokyo’s Narita Airport and Boston’s Logan Airport as well as between Tokyo Narita and San Diego under a new schedule that will come into effect on June 1, 2013.
The resumption of flights will begin after the necessary safety modifications are completed on its Boeing 787 aircraft.
Dreamliner flights will also resume on the Tokyo Narita-Singapore, Tokyo Haneda-Singapore and Tokyo-Beijing routes from June 1.
JAL expects to launch the earlier postponed daily non-stop 787 flights between Tokyo (Narita) and Helsinki from July 1. The airline is also replacing Boeing 767s with Boeing 777-300s on its Tokyo-Honolulu and Tokyo-Bangkok routes from June 1.
JAL had suspended its Boeing 787 operations in January over battery related safety concerns.
