Japan Airlines plans to introduce upgraded Boeing 777-300ER aircraft featuring major cabin improvements on its flights form Tokyo Narita to Los Angeles and Chicago.
The upgraded aircraft will be introduced on the Tokyo Narita – Los Angeles route in November and on the Tokyo Narita – Chicago route in January.
The aircraft will feature New JAL Suite first class seats, JAL Sky Suite 777 business class seats, JAL Sky Premium premium economy seats and JAL Sky Wider economy class seats. The upgraded cabins are currently being offered on flights between Tokyo (Narita) and New York, London and Paris.
JAL Sky Suite 777 features include fully-flat seats with retractable privacy partitions, direct aisle access from each seat and in-flight entertainment systems with 23-inch LCD monitors.
JAL Sky Premium features include 10 cm more seat pitch and 7 cm greater seat slide than the current seats, 12.1 inch IFE displays and 3-step adjustable footrests.
