Jet Airways, India’s largest full service airline, will codeshare with Air France and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines on flights between Europe and India from June 19.
Under the agreement, Air France will place its code (AF) on Jet Airways’ domestic flights to many major Indian cities including Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata. This will allow customers traveling from Europe to India on Air France flights to connect seamlessly with one ticket to Chennai via Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai, and to Kolkata and Hyderabad via Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Similarly, KLM will now place its code (KL) on Jet’s domestic flights to Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Mumbai from Delhi.
Air France and KLM offer 27 long-haul flights per week between Europe and India.
