Just one day after the FAA decision relaxing the use of personal electronic devices on aircraft, JetBlue and Delta have become the first US airlines to allow use of devices such as tablets, smartphones and e-readers during take-offs and landing, effective immediately.
Both JetBlue and Delta announced their decisions through their twitter feeds after receiving approvals by the FAA on Friday afternoon.

JetBlue’s flight #2302 from New York JFK to Buffalo was the first flight to operate with the relaxed rules. Passengers on the flight cheered when the pilot made the announcement regarding this, according to the tweets of passengers on the flight.
Other airlines are also expected to follow soon with the adoption of relaxed electronic device use rules.
