JetBlue plans to expand its Eat Up Café on-board fresh food menu on more routes in the future. Currently these menu options are only available on its transcontinental US flights from New York’s JFK to San Francisco, Los Angeles and Long Beach.
The fresh food offerings are expected to be offered on transcontinental flights to and from Boston to the above three West Coast cities in the near future.
Other long-haul flights, over 5 hours, may also get the fresh food menu.
The menu offers fresh food choices including sandwiches, salads and fruit combinations. Some offered options include blueberry muffins, fresh fruit cups, a sweet banana yogurt parfait and antipasto platter with prosciutto, Camembert cheese and hummus.
JetBlue launched Eat Up Café menus in July on a two-month trial basis and decided to extend them.
