JetBlue will increase its capacity between New York JFK and Bridgetown, Barbados with the addition of 580 extra seats per week on the route from December 19, 2013.
The airline will replace the 150-seat A320 aircraft operating on the route with the new 190-seat Airbus A321 aircraft for the daily New York JFK to Bridgetown flights, increasing the capacity by 580 seats each way per week.
However, the new aircraft will not initially have LiveTV programming (television, movies or radio) installed as this system is awaiting delivery from the Airbus factory.
JetBlue expects to install LiveTV entertainment on the first A321 aircraft by April 2014. All customers travelling on aircraft without functioning in-flight entertainment will receive a $15 travel certificate credit per flight, valid for one year, and applicable for future travel on the airline.
JetBlue has also applied for more capacity to Barbados during peak winter vacation holiday times, including President’s Day and Easter.
