Kenya Airways, the flag carrier of Kenya, took delivery of its largest aircraft to date – a Boeing 777-300ER in November 2013.
The aircraft, named Masai Mara, seats 400 passengers with 372 seats in an enhanced economy class and 28 business class fully flat-bed seats. Economy class seating is arranged in a 3x3x3 layout.
Other prominent features of the aircraft include paid in-flight WiFi Internet connectivity, USB and power outlets at each seat and modern in-flight entertainment systems with 15.4 inch displays in business class and 10.6 inch displays in economy.
The aircraft will begin flying between the Kenyan capital, Nairobi and Guangzhou in China from early November.
Kenya Airways will take delivery of two more Boeing 777 aircraft in 2014. In March 2014, the airline is also expected to receive the first of its five Boeing 787 Dreamliners on order.
