Dutch airline KLM has unveiled details of its upcoming new World Business Class cabin. The interiors, designed by Dutch designer Hella Jongerius, feature new carpeting, panel decorations, curtains, lighting, blankets, cushions and upholstery.
The color scheme is inspired by KLM “Blue” interspersed with five new warmer and darker colors for contrast – aubergine, dark brown, midnight blue, cobalt and dark grey.
Other prominent features include fully-flat seats, greater privacy and more storage space.
KLM’s 22 Boeing 747-400 aircraft will be the first to be outfitted with the new business class by April 2014. KLM’s 15 Boeing 777-200s are expected to be upgraded to the new business class by summer 2014.
