Dutch airline KLM is redesigning its World Business Class (international business class) cabins with new features including fully-flat seats.
Other seat features include 81.5 inch seat length, 17 inch in-flight entertainment displays, privacy screens and power outlets at each seat. Each seat will also have storage compartments for passengers’ belongings.
Upgraded business class cabin interiors will feature new carpeting made from recycled materials, including old KLM stewardess uniforms.
World Business Class passengers will be served menus created by top Dutch chefs and a wine selection by Dutch wine specialists.
KLM is introducing the upgrades on its 22 Boeing 747-400 planes and expects to upgrade all the 747 aircraft by 2014. The upgrade of the airline’s 777-200 fleet will begin in the summer of 2014.
