Korean Air launched non-stop flights between Atlanta and Seoul with Airbus A380 aircraft on September 1, 2013. These are the first A380 flights from Atlanta to any Asian destination.
Thrice-weekly Korean Air flight 036 will depart from Atlanta Hartsfield Airport at 1:10 p.m. on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The flight will be upgraded to once-daily from October.
Korean Air currently also operates A380 flights to Seoul from Los Angeles and New York.
Korean Air’s Airbus A380s have 407 seats, fewer than any other carrier. This extra space is utilized for the upper-deck Prestige (Business) class, a duty-free showcase section, the Celestial Bar, other lounges and greater space for seats in general with a 34 inch seat pitch in economy.
The hosted Celestial Bar is complemented with self-service bars in First Class and at the front of Prestige Class.
