German airline Lufthansa will add two non-stop flights from Munich to North America in mid-2014 when it adopts its summer schedule.
The airline will launch flights between Mexico City and Munich from April 3 and between Toronto and Munich from June 5.
The Mexico City flights will operate five times a week and will be operated using a 306-seat Airbus A340-600 aircraft. Lufthansa also operates a daily flight to Mexico City from Frankfurt.
Lufthansa’s new daily flights between Munich and Toronto will initially operate in the summer and use Airbus A330-300 aircraft featuring the new Business and First class seats.
The flights will offer greater connection options as Toronto is the hub of Air Canada, Lufthansa’s Star Alliance partner. The airline also operates daily flights to Toronto from Frankfurt.
