Travelers have to often return home to an empty refrigerator after a long trip. Australia’s Melbourne Airport now offers a convenient grocery shopping option for such travelers with the recent launch of Woolworths click & collect store – the country’s first airport grocery collection service – at the airport.
Passengers arriving at the airport will be able to collect their groceries, which can be pre-ordered online, at the store. This will be especially convenient to for families and individuals arriving from holidays or long business trips.
The groceries can be ordered through the store’s website or through the Woolworths’ mobile app. Customers can order groceries up to seven days in advance and choose collection times between 9 am to 9 pm, seven days a week.
We’re hoping this idea takes off across the world, and similar convenience grocery outlets open at US airports.
