Two airlines in early 2013 announced new flights or an increase in flight-frequencies between the US and Dusseldorf International Airport in Germany.
American Airlines will start daily non-stop flights between Chicago O’Hare and Dusseldorf using Boeing 767-300ERs from April 12, 2013. AA will become the second airline to operate daily flights between the 2 destinations.
United Airline’s code-share partner, Lufthansa, currently operates daily flights from Chicago to Dusseldorf.
Germany’s second largest airline and AA’s oneworld partner airberlin, which counts Dusseldorf as one of its major hubs, is increasing its flight frequencies from Dusseldorf to New York’s JFK (10 weekly), LAX (4 weekly) and Miami International Airport (daily).
