Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, the airport serving India’s main commercial hub, Mumbai, experiences the most flight delays in India, according to data released by Indian aviation regulators. The data released by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) showed that the Mumbai airport had the maximum ratio of flight delays for flights operated by four of the country’s five major airlines.
The on-time performance rates for major carriers at Mumbai were just 67.5 percent for Air India, 84.6 percent for IndiGo, 80.5 percent for Jet and 73 percent for SpiceJet.
