NASA, the US space agency, has launched its official account on popular photo-sharing website Instagram to share its spectacular trove of space related photographs and images with the world.
NASA’s Instagram account offers its followers new and historic images and videos related to fields ranging from astrophysics, earth science, human spaceflight and more.
The first posts on the account on September 6 showed the launch of the agency’s Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer (LADEE).
Since then the agency has shared more images featuring the moon, the crew of the International Space Station and shots of earth from the space.
The account has attracted over 134,000 followers in its first four days.
Instagram, owned by Facebook, is a popular photo and short-video-sharing service.
