A new international arrivals terminal has opened at the Lynden Pindling International Airport in Nassau, the capital city of Bahamas. The new 26,000 sq. ft. terminal features increased space, four retail outlets, four restaurants and lounges, six hotel reception desks and a modern baggage delivery system. The airport is currently undergoing a $409 millon renovation with a new departures and domestic arrivals terminal scheduled to open in the second half of 2013. After the renovation, the airport will be able to handle 5 million passengers a year compared to 3 million at present.
