Qantas is planning to open a dedicated domestic Business Lounge at Perth airport in mid-2015 for its Business class and Platinum frequent fliers.
The airline is moving into the airport’s T3 terminal vacated by Alliance and Skywest and the space is likely to be used for the new lounge, according to airline officials.
Virgin Australia is also shifting its operations from T3 in mid-2014 and moving to a new ‘domestic pier’ between the current T1 & T2 terminals, thereby freeing more space for Qantas at Perth airport.
Qantas recently expanded its Club Lounge at Perth Airport’s T4 terminal by adding a second level, thus increasing the lounge area by nearly one-third. Qantas also operates an International Business Lounge at the airport’s international terminal (T1).
