New Zealand airfare will come with many on-board perks beginning in April when Air New Zealand introduces its first new Boeing 777-300ER (extended range) aircraft on flights from Los Angeles to Auckland. The new planes will be available for all flights from LAX by the end of next year.
The planes have been designed to ensure an extraordinary in-flight experience in all classes. Economy class passengers will have a 33″ seat pitch and 6″ recline, with armrests that disappear fully into the back of the seat. Each passenger will also have a personal seat-back entertainment screen.
“Skycoach” seating is a new feature on the new aircraft and will allow 2 passengers who book one of the three-seat skycoach rows – a total of 20 skycoaches are available on the plane – to create a flat space for two people to stretch out and relax – as if they were on a coach – or to lie down. The effective length of the 3-seat coach is 5’1″.
Premium Economy “Spaceseats” feature a 2-2-2 configuration for a total of 50 seats; with fixed shell construction, the person in front of you will not be able to recline into your space.
Forty-four Business Premier seats on Air New Zealand’s new planes are made comfortable with lie-flat seats, memory foam mattresses, a duvet for sleeping and two large pillows. Business class meals are prepared and served on demand.
One of the innovations in all classes is a flexible meal schedule and the ability to order drinks and snacks during the flight from the seat back entertainment unit. All seats on the new planes have in-seat power and USB and Ipod connections.
Air New Zealand’s new planes will transform your experience of the long-haul flight from the US to Auckland. Beginning in April, take advantage of AirBank’s low cost consolidator tickets for New Zealand airfare to enjoy the comforts of these new 777-300ER aircraft as they are rolled out.
