There are no plans currently at Virgin Australia to add a fee for the extra legroom seats in the economy class seating on its Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Many US airlines, including Virgin America, hike the price of seats with above-standard legroom. Unfortunately, the first two rows of economy class seating are reserved for Virgin Australia’s Platinum and Gold Velocity frequent flier members – but if you attain that status with Virgin Australia, you can fly with more comfort and be among the first off the plane without paying more.
