Plaza Premium Lounge Management Limited, the operator of Plaza Premium airport lounges, celebrated 15 years of operation with increased expansion in 2013.
The Hong Kong based company started operations in 1998 and pioneered the concept of an airport “pay-in lounge” – where any traveler could pay to gain access, regardless of mileage status with an airline. Plaza Premium currently operates in over 100 locations in 27 international airports and counts over 1,500 employees worldwide.
In 2013, Plaza Premium added lounges in Kota Kinabalu, Kuching and Penang in Malaysia and Edmonton in Canada. It expanded its lounge in the Toronto Pearson Airport and opened a Wellness Spa, the world’s first airport organic spa, in Singapore’s Changi Airport.
The company is also opening a new flagship lounge – the largest pay-in lounge in the region – in the Hong Kong International Airport.
Plaza Premium has a significant presence in India with lounges in airports at Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore.
Future Plaza Premium lounge locations include Macau, London Heathrow and Kuala Lumpur International Airport’s new terminal, KLIA2.
