Three major US airlines – Delta, United and US Airways – have started notifying their passengers about their eligibility for the US Transport and Security Administration’s Precheck expedited screening program on their boarding passes.
Precheck eligible Delta and US Airways passengers will see “TSA PRECHCK” on printed boarding passes and the TSA Pre✓™ logo on their mobile boarding passes. Eligible United passengers will have the TSA Pre✓™ logo both on their printed boarding passes and mobile boarding passes.
The advance notifications allow passengers to move to TSA’s PreCheck lanes for quick screening.
The TSA determines customer eligibility on a per-flight basis. Hence the presence of the notification on a ticket does not necessarily guarantee expedited screening.
