Qantas has closed its first class lounge at Hong Kong to prepare for the planned construction of its new Hong Kong Lounge scheduled to open in March 2014.

The new lounge will replace the closed first class lounge and will be shared between Qantas first and business class passengers as well as Qantas’ Gold and Platinum frequent flyers (and their oneworld equivalents).

The key features of new Qantas Hong Kong lounge include –

  • Panoramic views across the airport overlooking Qantas’ gates from a feature bar where customers will be able to enjoy signature cocktails, wines, spirits and barista service;
  • A tray around and a buffet style offering featuring a range of fresh and enticing food – similar to Qantas International Business Lounges in Sydney and Melbourne;
  • A Family Zone;
  • Yum cha trolleys serving dumplings throughout the lounge;
  • A Spice Temple BBQ Bar.
