Qantas Airways selected Panasonic Avionics for its wireless in-flight entertainment (IFE) solution on its Boeing 767 aircraft.
The Australian airline will provide iPads with up to 200 hours of entertainment for every seat on all B767 flights. These planes do not have seat-back entertainment systems. Qantas plans to have the IFE system installed first on the aircraft used for its flights along the east coast of Australia and on the longer flights to Perth, beginning in the fourth quarter, 2012.
