Australian airline Qantas has released details about its plans to upgrade the interiors for its Airbus A330 planes and Boeing 717 aircraft.
Qantas’ A330s will get new business class fully-flat bed convertible seats arranged in a 1-2-1 layout offering direct aisle access for each passenger. The economy class seats of the aircraft will also be upgraded.
The upgrades will be introduced on all 30 of the airline’s A330s, beginning from late 2014.
Qantas is also upgrading the interiors of its Boeing 717 aircraft which operate mostly on domestic Australian routes. The upgraded aircraft will be introduced in 2014.
Five of the aircraft used for Sydney-Canberra, Brisbane-Canberra and Melbourne-Canberra flights will get a new Business class cabin and feature iPad entertainment at every seat.
