QantasLink, the regional subsidiary of Australian airline Qantas, has launched its upgraded Boeing 717 aircraft. The new planes have stylish redesigned interiors and slimline seats. The installation of slim seats has increased the aircraft’s seating capacity from 115 to 125 – adding two 5-seat rows in economy class.
The redesign has also added new carpets, redesigned mounted magazine boxes in front of each seat and additional seat pockets.
While passengers may enjoy the upgraded interiors, a question remains as to how comfortable the seats will be with less padding and more rows of passengers.
