Qatar Airways unveiled the luxurious first class cabin in its new Airbus A380-800 aircraft at the ITB Convention in Berlin in March 2014.
The A380 aircraft will be introduced later in 2014 on flights between Doha and London Heathrow.
The First Class seats offer a 90-inch seat pitch and transform into a fully-flat bed. Other features include an individual 26-inch television screen that comes with extensive entertainment choices, a privacy screen, and increased personal storage.
The first class seats also allow two passengers to sit across from each other while dining.
Qatar Airways operates one of the most modern fleets in the world with 129 aircraft flying to 136 key business and leisure destinations across the world.
The airline has plans to add as many as 300 new aircraft in the future including Airbus A380s and A350s, and Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
Qatar Airways became the first Gulf based airline to join a global airline alliance when it joined oneworld in October 2013. oneworld members include American Airlines, British Airways, JAL and Qantas.
Qatar Airways is launching non-stop flights from Miami to its hub in the Qatari capital Doha from June 10, 2014, and between Dallas/Fort Worth and Doha on July 1, 2014.
The non-stop Boeing 777-200LR flights from Miami and Dallas will offer travelers access to Qatar Airways’ extensive network of destinations in the Middle East, East Africa, and the Indian Subcontinent, as well as Western Australia through its capital city, Perth.
Business class features on the 777s include fully-flat seats, 22-inch seat-width, 78 inch-seat-pitch and a 2-2-2 layout.
Miami will be the seventh Qatar Airways destination in the US after Chicago, Houston, New York, Washington D.C. and Philadelphia. The Philadelphia flights will begin in early April.
