Qatar Airways launched flights between its hub in Doha and the Chinese city of Chengdu on September 3, 2013.
This is the airline’s sixth destination in China, with existing flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Chongqing. Qatar Airways now operates a total of 41 flights per week to China.
The Doha-Chengdu flights will operate three days per week and use Airbus A330 aircraft.
The aircraft will offer 294 seats in a two-class configuration with 248 seats in Economy and 36 in Business Class. The aircraft features seatback displays for all passengers with an interactive in-flight entertainment system offering over 900 audio and video on demand options.
