Qatar Airways has begun non-stop flights between its Doha hub and the city of Hangzhou in China.
Hangzhou, the capital and largest city of Zhejiang Province in eastern China, is Qatar’s seventh destination in China. The airline recently also started flights to Chengdu in Southwest China.
The Hangzhou–Doha flights will operate 4 times a week – on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The flights will be operated by an Airbus A330 in a two-class configuration with 24 seats in Business Class and 236 seats in Economy.
Qatar Airways also flies to Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong in China.
Travelers from North America can connect to Qatar’s flights to China with non-stop flights from Chicago, Houston, Washington DC and JFK (New York). Beginning on April 2, 2014 Qatar’s reach within the US will expand to an additional 13 airports, including Los Angeles, Charlotte, Boston and Las Vegas, through its code-share agreement with US Airways and introduction of daily non-stop flights to Doha from Philadelphia.
