South African Airways and Gulf Air had the highest on-time performance among major world airlines, according to flight arrival/departure data for the month of June 2013.
The June flight on-time performance report by FlightStats showed that South African Airways had the highest on-time performance of 93.33% while Gulf Air, flag carrier of the Middle Eastern island nation of Bahrain, was a close second with an on-time performance rate of 92.06%.
Japan’s largest two airlines, All Nippon Airways (ANA) (91.42%) and Japan Airlines (91.29%) were at third and fourth places.
The top 10 airlines according to on-time performance were –

2. Gulf Air 92.06%
3. All Nippon Airways 91.42%
4. Japan Airlines 91.29%
5. Finnair 90.34%
6. Austrian Airlines 90.27%
7. KLM 89.70%
8. EasyJet 87.20%
9. Korean Air Lines 86.80%
10. Iberia 85.70%
Note that not one US airline made the top ten list for on-time performance.
