Singapore-based low-cost carriers Scoot and Tiger Airways have entered into a partnership that will see the two airlines marketing joint itineraries between destinations served by the two airlines. The agreement will allow travelers from Australia to purchase a single itinerary for traveling to Tiger-served destinations in Southeast Asia – Phuket, Ho Chi Minh City and Kuala Lumpur – via Singapore. Scoot flies from Singapore to Sydney and the Gold Coast in Australia.
Customers flying into Singapore on Scoot will have to pass through immigration and collect their baggage on arrival in Singapore before boarding the Tiger Airways’ flights to their eventual Southeast Asian destinations.
This partnership provides new opportunities for low cost flights for anyone who would like to combine a vacation to Australia with a trip to popular Southeast Asian destinations.
