If your travels take you to Singapore’s Changi Airport, be sure to stop by Terminal 2’s Departure Transit Mall for a stroll through the airport’s latest themed garden featuring vibrant colors and interactive technology.
The new Enchanted Garden replaces the terminal’s Fern Garden. The garden is open for free, around-the-clock access by passengers.
The central attraction of the garden is four giant glass bouquet sculptures, which are decorated with a mosaic of reflective and shimmering stained-glass. Freshly-cut flowers and soft ferns are enclosed in the glass bouquets.
The Enchanted Garden also features interactive technology that makes it come alive with sight and sound as visitors explore the garden. Nature sounds and blooming flowers are triggered through motion sensors, and fibre-optic/LED lighting is embedded in the garden and pathways.
Other features of the garden include undulating pathways and a 22-000 liter fish pond with archerfish and koi, which can be fed by by visitors.
The other gardens at Changi Airport are the Cactus Garden (Terminal 1), Orchid Garden and Sunflower Garden (Terminal 2), and Butterfly Garden (Terminal 3).
