Airline alliance SkyTeam opened its latest lounge at Istanbul Atatürk International Airport in July 2013.
The 350 square meter (almost 3,800 square foot) lounge seats up to 90 passengers and offers amenities including a business center with printing facilities and complimentary WiFi, a relaxation zone with oxygen bar and massage chairs, a bar and buffet offering a number of cuisines, over 70 power outlets for charging devices and a reading area.
The lounge is similar to SkyTeam’s flagship lounge at London Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 4. Lounge features include the use of rounded shapes throughout the space including curved furnishings, natural lighting through large picture windows on two of the four walls and a third ‘living wall’ featuring live plants.
The lounge will be open for SkyTeam Elite Plus frequent flyer program members as well as first and business class passengers. It will serve all the 10 alliance member airlines operating from Istanbul.
