Southwest Airlines and theme park company SeaWorld have introduced Penguin One, a Boeing 737-700 featuring the images of penguins on its exterior.
The specially painted aircraft features gentoo penguins. Gentoos are one of the penguin species at SeaWorld Orlando’s new Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin exhibit.
The aircraft was unveiled at a ceremony at Orlando International Airport – with real penguins among the attendees.
Southwest has 12 Boeing 737 aircraft, in addition to Penguin One, with distinct paint schemes: Shamu One, Shamu Two, Arizona One, California One, Colorado One, Florida One, Illinois One, Lone Star One (Texas), Maryland One, Nevada One, New Mexico One, and Triple Crown.
