Star Alliance introduced in early 2013 an enhanced Asia Airpass for travel across Asia, which now also includes Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka in addition to the 15 countries/territories covered by the earlier Asia Airpass. The new airpass also covers all Star Alliance destinations in Japan and more destinations in India.
The Asia Airpass covers over 235 Asian destinations in Cambodia, China, Hong Kong SAR , India, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
A Star Alliance Airpass allows single-ticket travel in a geographic region on Star Alliance member airlines’ flights at a reduced cost when compared to individual tickets.
Star Alliance members include Air Canada, Air New Zealand, United, Asiana, ANA, Air China, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airlines – and currently, US Airways.
