Virgin America is the 6th airline to be included in the TSA PreCheck program
The US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has included Virgin America in its PreCheck expedited security screening program from June 2013.
Virgin America becomes the sixth US airline after Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and US Airways to be included in PreCheck.
Virgin America will now offer PreCheck to passengers with a US government issued Known Traveler Number.
The airline’s passengers can enter their Known Traveler Number or PASS ID in the Known Traveler Number field during the booking process or during check-in at the airport to be eligible for PreCheck. Virgin America also plans to also offer PreCheck to eligible frequent fliers later this year.
Select frequent fliers of the other 5 airlines in the program are already offered PreCheck.
Members of the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Trusted Traveler programs flying on the participating airlines are also eligible for PreCheck.
