United Airlines has decided to adopt a slim seat design in the economy class cabin of its narrow-body Airbus fleet. Recaro’s BL3250 economy class seat has been selected for the purpose.
The retrofit will begin in 2013. The slim and lightweight seats will allow the carrier to save on fuel costs and bring in extra revenue to United by enabling an extra row of seats in each aircraft – supposedly without sacrificing passenger comfort.
Do you believe passenger comfort will be the same in these seats?
