United Airlines opened an on-airport kennel facility at its hub at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport in May 2013. The facility will provide accommodation and amenities for animals traveling through the airline’s PetSafe service.
The kennel facility is located inside United’s new cargo facility. The kennel provides 28 individual, separate, ventilated and temperature-controlled enclosures for different species of animals traveling with the airline.
The facility also has a fleet of temperature-controlled PetSafe vans for transporting pets to and from its Chicago flights in comfort.
The O’Hare kennel is the third United kennel facility. The airline also operates similar kennels at its Houston and Newark hubs.
