United opened its upgraded United Club lounge in Concourse A at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in May 2013.
The 6,096 square-foot lounge now features a new interior design with sweeping views of the Cascade Mountains, a redesigned bar and seating area overlooking the United terminal at the airport, additional workstations and additional power outlets.
Seattle United Club is the second United Club lounge in the country after Chicago O’Hare United Club to incorporate the airline’s new lounge design. United also expects to open a new United Club in Terminal 2 at San Diego International Airport in summer 2013.
United expects to finish the ongoing consolidation of its operations at Seattle-Tacoma airport by the end of May. This includes the relocation of gates to Concourse A and repositioning of ticket counters to the south end of the main terminal.
After the relocation, United passengers will no longer need to take the airport train to the gates and can simply check in, clear security and walk to the nearby concourse.
