United has postponed the scheduled launch of Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights between Denver and Tokyo on March 31 because of the continued grounding of the 787 due to safety concerns. The airline has set May 12 as the new date for the launch of 787 flights on this new route.
United is the only US airline to take delivery of the Dreamliner. The airline has suspended all Dreamliner flights until June 5 although it expects to launch some flights – such as Denver-Tokyo – before the date, if the FAA permits the aircraft to fly by then.
