The three major US airlines – Delta, American and United – will start launching in-flight WiFi Internet access on international flights in early 2013. The airlines have not yet disclosed the exact pricing and speed details for these services.
Delta is the front-runner at present in offering Internet access on its domestic flights and offers the service on 800 of its aircraft.
American Airlines offers Internet access on 400 of its aircraft.
United, however, lags far behind with just 13 of its aircraft offering WiFi Internet access and plans to install the service on an additional 300 aircraft by the end of 2013.
